Precinct Chairs
Tom Marschall
Precinct 1 Chair
Born in Fredericksburg in 1955, I grew up in New Braunfels but maintained strong ties to Gillespie County through my grandparents, family gatherings, hunting, and community traditions. After graduating with honors from New Braunfels High School, I attended Texas A&M University, earning a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science and a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
My Army career included leadership and logistics assignments in Germany and Texas, including serving as a maintenance platoon leader, commanding a 290-soldier maintenance company, and advising Army Reserve and National Guard logistics units across Texas and New Mexico.
After leaving the Army in 1990, my family and I returned to Fredericksburg, where I established a custom woodworking business. My wife later joined the business, and we have been fortunate to build our lives, raise our family, and put down lasting roots in the community. We have now been married for 48 years.
My interest in election integrity grew after serving as a poll watcher during the 2020 election. That experience motivated me to become more involved in the local election process and ultimately to serve as Precinct 1 Chair. As a member of the CEC, I am committed to supporting transparent, accountable election processes in which Gillespie County voters can have confidence.

My wife and I moved to Fredericksburg in Dec 21, We live between Fredericksburg and Comfort on south 87.
We had been in Houston area 36 years where i worked on the Houston ship channel at a Power plant. Early life in Houston, I thought Texas politics was good , some republicans, some democrats and then the far left took over and I had to get out of Houston.
God led us to Fredericksburg and Bridge Church. We have been there for 4 years and my wife and I serve in Children's ministry, along with other volunteer opportunities.
I was involved in the hand counting process. I have helped register voters at Bridge for 2 years and block walked for Kyle Biederman's campaign where I connected with many other people who are dedicated to supporting our local, state and national elections. Fredericksburg tea party member for 3 years. I am a Christian 1st, Family 2nd and then other issue. Register republican, conservative.
