Precinct 1 Chair

I was born here in Fredericksburg, November 6, 1955. Maybe you remember 6 inches of snow being on the ground that day? I do not remember, but that is what I have been told. Soon after that, my parents moved my older brother and myself to New Braunfels, where my younger brother and 3 sisters were born. That is where I grew up and attended high school. Fredericksburg was always like a second home to me, and we frequently spent a couple of weeks here with my grandparents, and there was always deer hunting in the fall. Family reunions, easter Fires Pageant and The Gillespie County Fair Parade created some fond memories. I graduated with honors from New Braunfels High School, and then attended Texas A&M University, where I got a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, and a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. I also met and married my wife there before being assigned to my first duty station in Mannheim Germany in September 1979. My first assignment was a maintenance platoon leader for a platoon of 95 soldiers. The platoon was responsible for maintenance and repair of most army rolling stock, trucks, tractors, tanks etc. A year later our son was born in Heidelberg. Before leaving Germany, I also served on a battalion staff where I was able to work with the other logistics units in the battalion, and work with the two civilian German maintenance units that were assigned to the battalion. My fluency in German helped greatly in that assignment. In 1982, we returned to the states where I was assigned to a variety of staff positions at Ft Hood Texas, where I was involved with logistics planning and management. I also attended a week long class on budgeting and a 6 week staff management course at Ft Leavenworth during that time. Our daughter was born in 1984. In 1986 we were sent back to Mannheim, Germany for 3 more years. During that time I commanded a maintenance company of 290 soldiers. In 1987 my company supported a major exercise that included dispatching support cells from Mannhiem to 5 locations in Northern Germany and Holland. I considered that two month mission to be the highlight of my career. During those two months, I could not help but think of my grandfather who had been sent to fight in Germany 60 years earlier. In 1989 I was assigned to 5th Army Headquarters at Ft. Sah Houston in San Antonio, where I was assigned as advisor to Reserve and National Guard

logistics units of 5th Army, that were located in Texas and New Mexico. In 1990, the Army decided they no longer needed my services, and we moved to my birth place, Fredericksburg. I started a custom woodworking business using my severance pay. In 3 years, business picked up to the point that my wife was able to join me full time in the shop. We have enjoyed that “work” for the past 36 years. Having a place where our children could put down roots was a benefit beyond measure. We have been truly blessed to live here in Fredericksburg. Our 48 years of marriage are a testament to that fact.

On November 3, 2020, my first time as a poll watcher, at central counting, here in Gillespie County, I observed something that raised a question about the integrity of local elections. I reported those observations to state and local authorities, as is the duty of any poll watcher, election judge or election clerk, when making any such observation. That report fell on deaf ears. Since then, the relevance of the incident has faded, however, the incident spurred my interest and concern about election integrity here in the county. Since that time, much has been reported on questions of election integrity throughout the country. I have no evidence to even suggest anything questionable has happened locally since 3 November 2020. The lack of evidence is no guarantee that nothing has transpired. As a precinct chair, I hope to be able to do more than observe and report election irregularities. My actions as a member of the CEC have been and will continue to be aimed at developing and maintaining elections with verifiable integrity.

Precinct 6 Chair

Scott is a retired Army Colonel, a former Lead Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton, a former Project Manager for Laughlin Homes & Restoration, and former Executive Director of SystemsGo (a STEM education nonprofit). After graduating from Fredericksburg High School, he earned his BS in Aerospace Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point (1982), MS in Aerospace Engineering/Orbital Mechanics at the University of Texas at Austin (1990), and MS in Strategic Studies at the US Army War College (2004). His Army career of over 27 years included duties as an Army Aviator (UH-60 Blackhawk) and Space Operations Officer (FA40). Scott continues to serve as Vice President of SystemsGo. He currently serves an elder in Hill Country Church and is Chairman of their Missions Committee. Scott and his wife Jacque have been married for over 42 years. They are proud parents of three children and currently have five grandchildren. Scott has served as Precinct 6 Chairman since July 2012.

Precinct 7 Chair

My wife and I moved to Fredericksburg in Dec 21, We live between Fredericksburg and Comfort on south 87.

We had been in Houston area 36 years where i worked on the Houston ship channel at a Power plant.  Early life in Houston,  I thought Texas politics was good , some republicans,  some democrats and then the far left took over and I had to get out of Houston.

 God led us to Fredericksburg and Bridge Church. We have been there for 4 years and my wife and I serve in Children's ministry, along with other volunteer opportunities.

I was involved in the  hand counting process. I have helped register voters at Bridge for 2 years and block walked for Kyle Biederman's campaign where I connected with many other people who are dedicated to supporting our  local, state and national elections. Fredericksburg tea party member for 3 years. I am a Christian 1st, Family 2nd and then other issue.  Register republican, conservative.

Precinct 9 Chair

Betty Hahn has served as Chair of Precinct 9 for the last 20 years. She also served as Secretary for the Gillespie County Republican Executive Board for 3 terms.

Living in the Doss community for 53 years, she and her husband Gary Lynn have raised 3 children and have 4 grandchildren.

Over the years she has been involved in Young Homemakers of Texas, Doss 4-H Club leader, Gillespie County 4-H Leaders Association, Doss Home Demonstration Club, Doss Community Club, and a Doss School Board member. She is currently a reserve member of the Doss Volunteer Fire Department, having served as Secretary for multiple terms. She is a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and has served on the Parish Council, is currently a Eucharistic Minister and has been active as an ACTS retreat director and team member. She is a correspondent for the Fredericksburg Standard writing the Doss News column each week. She has a strong belief in the U.S. Constitution and election integrity. She strongly urges all people to exercise their right to vote.

Kristen Andreasen is a native Texan, a graduate of Texas A&M University, and a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. With 25 years of experience in finance spanning Houston and New York, Kristen brings a strong foundation in fiscal responsibility and a deep love for her community to her role as Precinct 15 Chair for the Gillespie County Republican Party. Outside of politics, Kristen is a dedicated YoungLife leader, investing in the next generation of young people in her community.
